The Florida State Fairgrounds is a 325-acre indoor and outdoor complex conveniently located at the junction of I-4, I-75 and U.S. Highway 301. Indoor venues, ranging from 5,000+ to 87,000+ square feet, and vast outdoor spaces offer flexibility and versatility to meet the needs of any event. The Florida State Fairgrounds is home to the annual Florida State Fair, The Bob Thomas Equestrian Center, The Mildred W. and Doyle E. Carlton Jr. Cracker Country Living History Museum and Live Nation Amphitheatre. The Fairgrounds is near some of Florida’s most popular attractions, beaches, state parks, malls and numerous hotels and restaurants. Bob Thomas Equestrian Center

The Bob Thomas Equestrian Center was built for horsemen, by horsemen. Featuring five rings including The Louise Serio Ring, Gene Mische Ring, Grand Prix and a versatile Stampede Premium Covered Arena. The spacious indoor Pavilion is an ideal place to host your event. No event is too large in this 23-acre horse paradise.

This almost 52,000 square foot Stampede Premium Covered Arena has hosted a variety of events from horse shows to dog shows. The Fairgrounds’ staff aims to surpass client and customer expectations with every event.     Our world-renowned Bob Thomas Equestrian Center features everything needed to host a premiere equestrian event. From youth to Olympic qualifiers, exhibitors and their horses travel here to compete at the Bob Thomas Equestrian Center. One of the centerpieces of the Center is the Charlie Lykes Arena, which is perfect for all disciplines of equine shows, clinics, rodeos and celebrations.

    Five convenient and hospitable barns are located within 1,000 feet of the Charlie Lykes Arena. The Barns offer men’s and women’s restrooms along with wash racks at each barn. The 23-acre equestrian complex is a crown jewel on the Florida State Fairgrounds.

    Cracker Country

    Cracker Country, located on the Florida State Fairgrounds, is Tampa’s only living history museum. Founded in 1978 by Mildred W. and Doyle E. Carlton Jr., with the purpose of preserving Florida’s rural history, the museum includes a collection of 13 buildings dating from 1870 to 1912.

    The structures, which were relocated from across the state of Florida, range from the Okahumpka Train Depot to private homes once occupied by the Carltons and Smiths. Cracker Country provides a beautiful rural setting designed to create lasting memories for any occasion that can be enhanced by a special and unique atmosphere.

    Entertainment Hall

    The Entertainment Hall features 36-foot high ceilings, two downstairs dressing rooms with upstairs offices or hospitality rooms as well as easy load-in and load out accessibility. The venue can be set with pipe and drape for a consumer or trade show but also with a stage and portable bleachers for spectator events. This building can be combined with the adjacent Expo Hall to create a flexible footprint totaling 138,000 square feet. Alone or combined with the Expo Hall, this venue is sure to meet your event needs.

    Expo Hall

    With 87,000+ square feet of exhibit space, the Expo Hall features 45-foot high ceilings, drive-through doors for easy load-in and load-out accessibility, renovated restrooms. This building also offers flexibility in meeting space with eight meeting rooms to accommodate your breakout sessions as well as two upgraded show offices.

    The meeting rooms can be divided by lockable partition walls with separate entrances or left open based upon the event. Expo Hall can be combined with the adjacent Entertainment Hall to create a flexible footprint totaling 138,000 square feet. Alone or combined with the Entertainment Hall, this venue is the perfect location for large events. Consider hosting your next fundraiser, consumer or trade show, conference or sporting event in the Expo Hall.

    The Florida Center East offers an inviting and accommodating setting, perfect for both private and public events. The garden entrance provides a unique atmosphere for receptions and entertainment while the adjoining Florida Center Terrace offers additional event space or VIP parking.

    The Florida Center West provides 5,000+ square feet of carpeted space that can be used in conjunction with the larger Florida Center East or on its own. Consider hosting your next fundraiser, reunion, fashion show, meeting, seminar or trade show in the Florida Center.

    Meeting Rooms

    Our new meeting rooms can provide a perfect space for luncheons, workshops, or small conferences. Located inside the Expo Hall, the meeting rooms can be used for event staff offices, break-out sessions, dressing rooms or VIP areas for larger events. No matter the size of the event, the meeting rooms can supplement a larger space or provide the perfect setting for a smaller gathering.

    Outdoor Event Areas

    The Florida State Fairgrounds has outdoor areas ideally situated to accommodate a variety of events with space ranging from 3,000 square feet to several acres. The Waterfront Café, Tiki Hut and open air Domes can be used to complement your outdoor event and create unique experiences. The Fairgrounds offers catering and concessions, on-site security, permanent restroom facilities and a variety of equipment options such as tables, cones, staging and bleachers.

    The Outdoor Areas are perfect for any gathering, day or night. Consider hosting your next festival, 5K concept run/walk, corporate outing or picnic, product demonstration or driving competition at the Florida State Fairgrounds.

    Special Events Center

    The Special Events Center is an ideal venue for any occasion. This versatile building provides almost 40,000 square feet of usable space under 25-foot high ceilings. If you are planning a smaller event, a folding acoustical wall can divide the space into 15,000 and almost 24,000 square foot sections. For a private or corporate event, this venue provides ample space for various configurations.
