FAQ's at the Fair


How do I get to the Fairgrounds?
Click here for detailed driving directions and map.
There are three (3) main entrances into the Fairgrounds property: U.S. Highway 301, Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard and Orient Road
HART Bus schedule information can be found on www.gohart.org or by calling (813) 254-4278. Closest stops are Orient Road, Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, or U.S. Highway 301.

What are the Hours for the Florida State Fair?
Monday – Thursday (Excludes President’s Day): Gates open at 10:00 a.m.; Midway opens at 1:00pm
Friday – Sunday and President’s Day: Gates open at 9:00 a.m.; Midway opens at 10:00am
As always, the Florida State Fair offers FREE parking!

Do you offer refunds or re-entry?
All acts, concerts, scheduled times, exhibitors, prices and other advertised events are subject to change and or cancellation without notice. There are no refunds, exchanges, or rain checks. All sales are final. No re-entry is permitted without a new fair ticket.

Are there any discounts available?
Bring your group of friends or family for a day at the Fair. Save big on group tickets. Groups are a minimum of 25 guests.

Special Discount Days
Thursday, February 7 – Heroes Day: All veterans, active, reserve or retired military personnel, law enforcement, firefighters and first responders and up to 3 family members are admitted FREE with valid Service ID.
Friday, February 8 – Hillsborough County Student Day: Free admission with valid student ID or Student ticket. Students must be supervised by an adult 21 years or older to gain entry after 6:00pm. One FREE adult ticket with up to 4 students after 6:00 p.m.
Monday, February 11 – Friday, February 15 – Senior Day 55+: $9 Gate admission for guests 55+. Senior programming throughout the day.
Tuesday, February 12 - $2 Tuesday after 2:00pm: $2 Admission and select $2 rides, $2 select games and food tastings. ONLY available after 2:00 p.m.
Friday, February 15 - $5 After 5:00pm: $5 admission after 5:00 p.m.
Monday, February 18 – Fair Cares for The Hungry Presented by Publix and Feeding Tampa Bay: Purchase 2 or more non-perishable items at Publix, donate your Publix items at the Fair and receive $5 admission.
Monday, February 18 – Student Day: Manatee, Pinellas, Polk and Sarasota, Sumtner County Public schools receive free admission with valid student ID.

What do I do if I lost a person or item at the fair?
Visit any information guest services booth to register your child for the Safe Kids Program. The Safe Kids Place and Lost & Found are located just outside the center Expo Hall doors on the midway side.

Where are the restrooms?
Restrooms are located throughout the grounds. All restrooms are marked on the daily brochures available at the Fair. To find the nearest restroom, follow one of the blue painted lines on the ground.

Are there height restrictions on your rides?
The Florida State Fair has over 90 different rides in the Midway. Wristbands are not recommended for children under 36". There are a limited amount of kids rides that can be safely ridden. Please be aware of height requirements for each ride before purchasing an armband we do not offer refunds. Click Here for a list of rides with height requirements.

Are there ATM’s on-site?
Conveniently located throughout the grounds and marked on the daily brochures with a "$" symbol. Credit cards are also accepted at the gate and at various vendors.

What do I do if I purchased my tickets online?
If you have purchased your tickets online, make sure to print the ticket ATTACHED to your confirmation email. Please also bring a valid Photo ID. You will not need to wait in the ticket line; proceed directly to the express lane which is the furthest right lane.

Do you have strollers, wheelchairs or scooters?
A Scootaround tent is located just inside Gates 1, 2, 3 and 4 where you are able to rent for the day. Scooters and wheelchairs are first come, first served. Click here to reserve your Scooter or Wheelchair online in advance.

Do you have any rest stations?
At the Welcome Center, you’ll find lockers, charging stations and even sunscreen for the sunny Florida weather. Need to rest your feet? Relax at one of the picnic tables in the shade. Rest Areas are located on the map under "R" symbol

Where is Will Call located?
Located at Gate 1 only. Proceed past the ticket windows. Will Call office is located all the way to the left of security.

Are there nursing facilities or diaper changing facilities?

For your convenience, a Mother's Nook is located outside of the Expo Hall. in addition, restrooms in Expo Hall, Entertainment Hall and the Special Events Center have baby changing stations.
