January 7, 2010 -- This communication is directed to individuals who will be requiring a media/press kit and/or working credentials as media planning to promote or publicize the Florida State Fair.  If you are not media personnel or a freelance journalist, please do not respond to this message.

You must reply no later than Monday, January 11, 2010 with answers to this e-mail as requested below.

 

PART 1 - PRESS/MEDIA KIT REQUEST

The Florida State Fair is in the process of putting together its 2010 Press/Media Kit.  If you would like to receive a press kit by mail or in person, please reply to this e-mail and provide complete answers to the information requested below.  If you cannot provide verifiable contact information then your request cannot be honored.

PART 2 - WORKING MEDIA ACCESS REQUEST 

Are you requesting media access to cover/publicize the fair on the property?  If you answered YES, then please reply with answers to the items below. 

1.  List all of the names of Working Staff & Titles for those assigned to cover the Fair. Please include any reporters, camera crew or photographers that will need a media badge.  If you cannot provide verifiable contact information then your request cannot be honored.

The 106th annual Florida State Fair will take place on February 4-15, 2010.   GET YOUR SUPER SAVINGS NOW FOR MORE SUPER FUN LATER AT THE 2010 FLORIDA STATE FAIR!  Florida State Fair gate admission tickets will go on sale at participating Sweetbay Supermarket stores starting Jan. 2nd through Feb. 3rd.  Sweetbay stores will only sell fair gate admission tickets (while supplies last) and no other discount offers.  Gate admission tickets are sold at select Sweetbay stores only in these Florida counties: Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco, Hernando, Polk, Manatee, Sarasota, Hardee, Desoto and Highlands.  The Florida State Fair is now selling all discounted offers for gate admission tickets, ride tickets, armbands, coupon books, concert tickets and group sales packages.  These offers can be purchased online at www.floridastatefair.net or in person at the Fair Box Office during business hours.  Gate admission is not included with purchase of armbands, ride tickets, or concert tickets.  There will be no refunds, exchanges or rainchecks.  All acts, concerts, scheduled times, exhibitors, prices and other advertised events are subject to change and/or cancel without notice. The Florida State Fair,  always in Tampa and always in February, is organized by the Florida State Fair Authority (FSFA) under the leadership of Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.  Agriculture Commissioner Charles H. Bronson leads the Fair Authority Board, which oversees the Florida State Fairgrounds and the annual Florida State Fair. 

The Florida State Fair Authority is a non-profit organization which operates primarily from revenues generated from the annual State Fair and other ongoing operations during the year.  Presently, the FSFA does not receive any state tax appropriations from Hillsborough County, City of Tampa, nor the State of Florida.
